Ben grew up in the famous ski resort of Serre Chevaliere in the southern French Alps. It would come as no surprise that he ended up being a ski racer and he even competed in the French ski championships.

Skiing has allowed Ben to work in Canada, Alaska, Switzerland and Italy but only Verbier allows him to combine the thrill of the big mountain experience with his gift for coaching.

In the summer Ben works as a lifeguard on the French Atlantic coast where he has also been known to do the occasional bit of surfing.
